Reading Apprehension

First, let's tackle the RC bit. One of my favorite questions to aspirants is-"How many RC questions do you think are there in the CAT?"

Take a shot-?

Well if you said 20-30, you're wrong.

ALL questions in the CAT are about RC. Wouldn't you have to read a maths question, to comprehend it in order to be able to answer it?

THAT underscores the importance of reading comprehension, within the purview of the CAT.

How to improve this aspect? Watch out for my 4 part series on how to read better to bell the CAT.

Coming soon

Blast the CAT-with expert guidance

Hi

This blog is aimed at all current and future aspirants for the Holy Grail of Management Entrance examinations-The CAT.

A little bit about myself. I have been training students, on a part time basis for the CAT, since 2002. I myself cracked the CAT in 2003, with a percentile of 99.98, getting calls from all six IIMS (A,B,C,L,I,K) while going on to get final calls from all except IIM-I. I graduated in 2005 from IIMA.

Even at IIMA, in my second year, I was involved in informally mentoring students. Its something that I am passionate about, and something that I love to do.

I will be posting regularly on the basic aspects, as well as on how to go about dealing with the computer based aspect of the exam.

Later on, I will also focus on the GD/PI part of the equation.

In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me at iimahdak@yahoo.com. I will try and respond to all serious queries

Thanks
Arun
